Honeydew Honey
from nature to your heart.

Cascina Alberona’s Honeydew Honey is a fine and unmistakable honey, with a dark amber color and an intense, strong and not very sweet flavor.
Unlike traditional honeys, it does not derive from the nectar of flowers but from honeydew, a sugary substance produced by small insects that feed on the sap of trees, in particular oak, fir and linden. This makes it naturally richer in mineral salts, with strong energizing and restorative properties.
Food pairing:
Perfect to be enjoyed alone or on a slice of rustic bread, Honeydew Honey is enhanced with aged and blue cheeses, creating a pleasant contrast between sweetness and flavor.
Also excellent with dried fruit, natural yogurt or to sweeten herbal teas, infusions and hot drinks in a healthy way. In the kitchen, it can be used to add character to sauces, marinades or as a glaze for roasted meats and baked vegetables, giving dishes a rich and aromatic touch.
